My first sigma makeup brushes set.

Sunday, 25 May 2014

I am super excited with my first sigma set, I wanted to try a Sigma brushes set for a while, but I never found one that really like it or a that wasn't really expensive. This Jaclyn Hill´s set is the perfect must-have brush set.

As I am living in Europe and they are shipping from the USA, I had to take in consideration that customs might stop my package and this means that I would have to pay some extra money. (Yes ladies, customs stopped my package at the end and I had to pay 20.00 EUR extra).

Did it worth it? Yes, it did, they are lovely and super soft.
Will I buy from sigma again? No, I won't. It was TOO MUCH hassle and a nightmare to get my package from customs.

Anyway, let's get started with the review.

The E55 Eye Shading Brush. This is the perfect brush for applying color. No makeup brush collection is complete without a shading brush. For me it is a must have!

Sunny day in Dublin

Saturday, 26 April 2014

It is said that you can have the four seasons in one day and I can sure that this is true!

Last saturday, I was meeting a friend around 10am to go to Phoenix park as it was sunny and clear blue skies. So as the weather was lovely we decided walk, unfortunately at noon when we arrived to the park it started to be cloudy and a little windy, however, we decided to give it a try and stay a little longer, when suddenly it started to rain really hard. It was only 2 o'clock and we didn't want to go home yet, so we decided to go to the cinema, imagine my surprise when we were coming out the cinema and it was f*** sunny again. I don't know why after that many years, the irish weather still surprise me...

My favorite face products.

Friday, 18 April 2014

Happy Friday and Happy Easter.
Today I would like to talk about my favorites face products. Most of them, I use them everyday in the morning before going to work or when I am getting ready to go to bed.

Every morning products.

The first product I use in the mornings, is this amazing Clinique facial soapI apply this product every morning when I wash my face and I really feel a deep clean.

Then I apply the Clarifying Lotion also from Clinique. This second step in the Clinique's 3-Step Skin Care SystemIt leaves my face feeling nice and refreshed without drying it out. It cleans up the oily areas really well. However, please be really careful using it near eye area as the alcohol stings.

One of my favorites products is the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator Skintone Corrector Serum.(What a long name :p)

It is an amazing
brightening serum that diminishes color imperfections and give you an instant glow.

(Night serum)

And here it is! my favorite face product and face cream. I have really dry skin and this cream give me everything I need to pass through the day.

It isn't greasy, instantly hydrates my face and dries quickly.

Every night products.

The first product that I use every night is this L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover. This product feels lovely and gentle with your eyes and what I like the most is that doesn't leave oily eyes.

Afterwards, I use all over my face the micellar solution also from L'Oreal. I can't get enough of this product, it cleans my skin leaving it with an amazing feeling of freshness.

And last but not least, I use the Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator Serum. What I like about it, is that leaves skin feeling more soft, smooth, the next day.

(Day serum)

Twice per week or whenever I fancy it ;)

The most amazing products of the history is my lovely FOREO LUNA. I use the FORE for Sensitive/Normal Skin and I am in love.

As it is so tiny, you can take it with you everywhere. I must admit that I never go anywhere without my FOREO LUNA.

It is an amazing silicone facial brush that thanks to the T-sonic pulsations, you always have a really deep and gentle cleansing.

Another good thing about it, is that there's no need to replace brush heads making it more economical than the Clarisonic, you can wash it with an antibacterial soap and be worry-free.

Clinique pore minimizer.

I don't have amazing things to say about this product, but I have been using this for years and it makes your pores seem smaller but honestly I wouldn't buy it again, it's too pricey for what you really get at the end.

I hope you like my new post. If you want more, don't forget to follow me on Instagram. http://instagram.com/monicarg1987

Messy Bun

Sunday, 6 April 2014

YOU WILL NEED
• Hairspray, dry shampoo or styling powder

• Bobby pins, a comb and a lovely bow.

STEPS

1. Spray all your hair with hairspray or dry shampoo, you can also use a styling powder. Then tease your hair to create volume. Remember that teasing is the key step for a perfect messy bun.

2. Pull together your hair and hold it straight up.

3. Wrap your hair around itself in a loose bun.

4. Last but not least important secure the pieces on top of the bun with a few bobby pins. But remember, you want it loose but secure.
